Subject: Hello

Now is your chance to win $ 10,000
All you need do is
1 Send this message to everyone you know
So you want me to be a spammer too?
My friends expect some kind of quality control in the things I forward. I have no idea what you are pushing.
2 Click on the link and type in your email address
How do I know that link won't give me malware?
Is there some reason you don't want me to visit the link before I forward to everyone I know?
(Of course, I'm running Linux and using Firefox with NoScript and RequestPolicy, so I'm hard to infect....)
You've already got my email address. (You sent me email, didn't you?)
Once you've done that you will get an e-book free
What kind of e-book? Why should I even imagine that it's something I want to read?
I can get plenty of free stuff to read (that I will find interesting) without giving some unknown website my email address.
[I'm not pimping that link]
And what about the $10K? Where does that come from?

Re: BlueHost

a can of spam at a terminal (by Bill Holbrook)
Bill Holbrook
You're certainly welcome to read a feed of my public postings. My entries here are mostly just rants about spam that ticks me off. I was an email admin for my previous employer, so I do have some experience dealing with and preventing spam.

What's "BlueHost" got to do with anything?

Free games

Do you people have a facebook fan page? I searched for one on facebook or twitter but could not discover one, I’d really like to become a fan!

Re: Free games

This is a LiveJournal Community. Why should it have a Facebook fan page?

Facebook is not the aggregator for the rest of the world's social media. I don't agree with Facebook's privacy and content-ownership policies, so I don't (and won't) post there. You can start your own SpamSnark on Facebook if you like. And if people post there, great. But you won't see me there.

And the spam isn't going to fit into tweets, so that doesn't make any sense either.

And "Free games"? What's that about?

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book
in it or something. I think that you could do with some
pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog.
An excellent read. I'll definitely be back.
